As part of 8Dio’s “Score This” series, Laura created a video to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 lunar landing. In addition to writing some inspirational music for the 30-second PSA-style video, Laura also shot the footage of the moon that appears in the video on a clear summer night in New Haven, CT.

Laura Nominated for Best Music at NH48HFP2018
At the 2018 New Haven 48-Hour Film Project awards night, Laura received her third nomination for best music in three years, for her work on the film "A Childe of Frailness" by Jolly Bunny Films. Last year, Laura won the award for her work on "Apples for Bullies" with the same team.
Laura's #GENIUS Submission
As part of the National Geographic #showusyourmusicalgenius contest on www.indi.com, Laura created an arrangement of the Genius original theme by Hans Zimmer and Lorne Balfe. Check out her submission here:
Laura Brown Takes Home "Best Music - Score" at 2017 New Haven 48-Hour Film Project
On August 24, 2017 at the New Haven, CT 48-Hour Film Project Golden Awards Night, Laura took home the Best Music - Score award for her work on the short film "Apples for Bullies" by Jolly Bunny Films. This was one of two films Laura scored for the 2017 New Haven 48-Hour Film Project, the other being "The Talk" by team One Side Neglected.
Laura was also nominated for the Best Music - Score award in 2016 for her slapstick comedy score to the film "The Power of Beer" by M2R Productions.
